Day 7: Set Your September Intention

You made it to Day 7 of the Back to You Challenge. 🎉

Over the past week, you've spent time checking in with yourself, letting go of some of the things you've been carrying, making space, naming your needs, resetting your boundaries, and choosing your priorities.

Now it's time to bring it all together.

Instead of Another List of Goals…

How do you want to feel?

September can easily become another opportunity to create a giant list of things you need to accomplish. But this challenge was never about becoming a more productive version of yourself.

It was about paying attention to yourself.

So think back to your Day 1 check-in

What did you notice about your energy, stress, mood, relationships, and overall satisfaction?

What did you realize you wanted to let go of?

What did you want more space for?

What needs did you identify?

What boundaries did you want to strengthen?

And what did you decide actually matters to you right now?

Now use those answers to create your September intention.

Your September Intention

Complete this sentence:

“This season, I want to feel more (or less)  __________, so I am going to __________.”

Maybe:

“This season, I want to feel more rested, so I am going to protect two evenings each week with no commitments.”

Or:

“This season, I want to feel more connected, so I am going to make more intentional time for the people who matter to me.”

Or maybe your intention is:

“This season, I want to feel more like myself, so I am going to make space for things that I enjoy.”

There is no perfect answer.

Your intention doesn't need to be profound. It doesn't need to sound good on Instagram. And it definitely doesn't need to become another thing you can feel guilty about not accomplishing.

It needs to mean something to you.

Keep It Somewhere You Can See It

Put your intention somewhere you'll actually encounter it:

Your planner.
Your phone.
Your bathroom mirror.
Your desk.
Your journal.

Let it serve as a reminder of what you decided matters to you in this season.

And remember: an intention isn't a contract. You can change it. Just like I said yesterday, your needs and priorities are ever changing.

Your Final Challenge

Write your September intention:

This season, I want to feel more/less __________, so I am going to __________.

Then ask yourself:

What is one small action I can take this week that supports this intention?

That's it.

Not a complete life makeover.

Not a 47-item goal list.

Just one intentional step.

Here is September Intention:

This season, I want to feel more connected to my business, so I am going to be intentional about how I show up and connect with my audience on social media.

What did I do?

I created this challenge: A reset for women focused on mental health and prioritizing their needs.

This included creating a downloadable workbook. 7 blog posts, 7 reels, 7 carousels, and multiple story posts each day.

I am so proud of myself for all of the work I did, and I feel like my authentic self. I wasn’t putting some random stuff out there on social media for follows or likes. I was just doing what I do best: supporting women, prioritizing mental and emotional health, and being creative. Even though, as of the time I am writing this post, I have not gained any followers or any comments on my reels/posts (except from one from my bestie), I feel what I put out on my account is truly me. This makes me feel like I am showing up more authentic as a business woman and increases my feelings of connection and overall satisfaction.

Be proud of yourself for all the hard work you put into this challenge. It was a lot of difficult internal emtional/feelings work!

You Don't Need a New You

Maybe what you needed this September wasn't a fresh version of yourself.

Maybe you just needed to come back to yourself.

Thank you for spending these seven days doing exactly that.
